The People's Flag The Cymru Goch piece (see Men or Women) is not intended to represent the political organisation of the same name. It's actually meant to be a reflection of a certain political attitude that used to exist in Wales — and perhaps still does to a lesser extent. The use of Constructivist typography and the hammer and sickle emblem could be seen as gentle criticism of the Soviet-style dogma once prevalent in South Wales but hopefully nothing stronger than that. So don't get on my case, Comrades. Please spare me your points of order. There's no point in telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm not claiming a monopoly on righteousness. This piece is dedicated to my friend Craig Thomas who, as far as I know, is not and never has been a member of Cymru Goch. He does, however, have the dubious honour of being the only person I know who was once a member of the Communist Party of Britain. So it's just me taking the piss and nothing to get upset about. Luckily, Craig, nowadays a ruthless capitalist lacky, doesn't take things too seriously either.
