Motorcycle Club T Shirt I cannot accept that motorcycle road racing, with its running total of fatalities, is anything other than an anachronism in the modern world. Yet I have to admit that the Welsh road racer Ian Lougher is a very brave man indeed. Chaz Davies, the Welsh ex-250cc Grand Prix racer, is a talented and courageous rider, it’s true, but Lougher is made of the stuff of heroes. To race without runoff areas and with walls, hedges and street furniture hurtling past at up to 175mph, requires the heart of a lion and balls of steel. Ian won at the Isle of Man TT in 2005, an event in which six people were killed. His average speed over the 39-mile course was over 120mph. The first TT event on the same course in 1907 was won at an average speed of 38mph. If Ian was to make a mistake at current speeds, he'd probably be dead. At the TT, riders race with a spirit of sportsmanship, respect and camaraderie that Ernest Hemingway would have admired. But Hemingway is long gone and road racing should be too. Print in white, red and brown on 165-gram black 100% cotton jersey. XL+ and XXL sizes available. Price: £22.00 (£25.30 inc. VAT)
