Cymru Hoody

Contrary to popular belief, Ryan Giggs could not have chosen to play for the England football team. He played for the England Schools team because he was at school in England but he was born in Cardiff of Welsh parents whose parents were Welsh.

To play a team sport other than rugby union at an international level for Wales is to wear a crown of thorns, hence the typography of this piece.

Ryan has shown the same undemonstrative dedication to Wales that he has shown to Manchester United. But while he is the most decorated Red Devils player, having won eight Premier League championships, one Champions League and four FA Cup titles, he will never win any silverware for his country.

Printed red on 320-gram olive green brushed 80% cotton and 20% polyester.

Price: £34.00 (£39.10 inc. VAT)

Cymru T Shirt

Simon Jones and Geraint Jones won't win any silverware for their country either, but for a different reason. Cricket is administered by the England and Wales cricket board but its Ashes-winning team is simply called 'England'.

Jones the ball, its most effective bowler, and Jones the glove, the wicket keeper, are both Welsh (although the latter was born in Papua New Guinea – which I suppose makes him some soft of Welsh headhunter).

Printed red on 165-gram olive green 100% cotton jersey. XL+ and XXL sizes available.
