The lack of concern shown by the authorities for the people of Snowdonia in the near 25 years since radioactive material from the Chernobyl nuclear accident was deposited on them is scandalous.

Admittedly, sheep greatly outnumber the human population and are vital to the local economy, but to subject the sheep to rigorous health checks while doing nothing to probe the above average rates of cancer in the people, suggests that priorities are very wrong.

Fallout is invisible and, contrary to popular belief, doesn’t glow. So I’m a little worried that by using glow-in-the-dark ink for this piece, I run the risk of trivialising a serious issue. It's the best thing I can think of to make the issue a talking point.
